Within 24 hours or so I will be in Ireland, it is so close I can almost taste it! I really can't taste it....but Thomas' uncle directed us to a bar/brewery called U Fleku where they had a very good dark beer in comparison to Guiness so maybe I can kind of taste it....
Last night was a relaxing time as we meandered along the Vltava river, which I now know the name of, that runs through Prague. We crossed a bridge that led us to an island in the Vltava and we relaxed and took in the view of the castle and the beautiful, well lit National Theatre.

After making our little adventure to the island in the river Vltava and seeing the National Theatre we spent a good half hour searching for this amazing U Fleku bar/restaurant/brewery that Thomas said we just HAD to go to. After searching and asking and searching some more we finally found it and it was definitely worth the wait. Their dark brew was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing! They had 2 guys playing polka-ish songs on an acordian and a baritone to which the majority Czech patrons would sing and clap along with. Some even got up and danced around their tables with friends and spouses. There was one man who maybe had a few too many of those very good beers who was parading around and leading songs and being very entertaining! All in all it was a good time, worth the walk.

Today was a low key day as well. We woke up late and barely caught our second to last FREE breakfast and then we headed out into the town to do some exploring, see some churches and see if we could find that awesome AC Sparta Praha soccer jersey that I like so much. Long story short we found them and I bought one, the one I bought even has a player's name on the back. I looked him up and he looks like a pretty awesome dude named Tomas Repka, #2, and a defender. Here is his link and here is the link to AC Sparta's site, check them out!
Anyway, like I said we are headed for Ireland tomorrow morning and I am beyond excited! Thomas says I am going to love it and I know I will! I look forward to the laid back nature of the Emerald Island and I am hoping to learn a lot, bring back some good memories, and have some fun in there too! To get into the Irish spirit a little bit I have been listening to some musicians that hale from Ireland, Damien Rice and The Swell Season, who actually consist of a Irish man and a Czech woman so it works even better! Check out the song "Volcano" by Damien Rice and "When Your Mind's Made Up" by The Swell Season, two very good songs! As most of you probably know I love music so expect to hera about it once in awhile, also in other music news, Minnesota musician Mason Jennings has a great new album out titled "Blood of Man". Like I said, a great album from a great musician.
Anyway, not many new pictures today but there will be plenty come Ireland! I hope all is well and that school is too brutal yet for those of you in class!
Wishing you the best!
