Clouds?!

As the second day of classes started this morning, we were greeted with our first actual cloudy day in Ireland, which is pretty crazy considering we are in Ireland. It was actually nice though, it was comfortably cool and it felt like a fall day back home in Minnesota.
We had our first Senior Seminar class today and it seems like it will be a good compliment to the other classes I am taking as we are going to build off of those other classes within seminar. The other class I had today was Gaelic Archaeology & Culture which was great! The professor is a lot of fun and very entertaining, I have a feeling this class will be like no other class I have ever taken.

After class today I decided to make a solo trek into Spiddal to stop at the post office and drop off a letter and more or less explore and enjoy the Minnesota like fall weather. The village of Spiddal is a small town right on the coast. They have a Texaco gas station, a church, some small shops, houses, and 3-4 pubs. Also in Spiddal is really nice beach where we took a swim in Galway bay from a few days back. The other attraction to Spiddal besides the gas station/convenience store, pubs, etc. is a McDonald's esque restaurant know as Super Macs. Now I have not eaten at Super Macs yet but I am interested to see what they have and if what I have heard from former Galway dwellers is true, maybe I will check it out in the coming days.
After the casserole on Sunday night and the delicious soup we had yesterday, I don't know what we will have for dinner tonight, but I have a feeling it will be good old pasta, but hey, it is food right?!

I have no new pictures again today but I am going to make another trip down to the rocks on the ocean to watch the sun go down so I will take my camera and try and showcase Galway Bay a little for you. As for now I am off to read some history but if the sight of Thomas asleep on the floor with the history text in front of him is any indicator, I may be taking a nap...
Enjoy your days back in Minnesota, I have heard that the weather is gorgeous! Enjoy!
Regards,
Matt

Beautiful.
